Welcome!
Finding the right support in which you feel affirmed and seen is an important process. I am a Black/Biracial, queer, cis woman who has worked with the queer community since the start of my career. I believe that healing happens through the corrective experience of a safe clinical relationship. Whether you are new to therapy or are returning for deeper work, I work to build trust, transparency and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. I have worked with folks across different communities, especially folks that identify as queer, gender expansive and people of color. I specialize in trauma treatment, particularly healing from abusive relationships we may have experienced at home, work or school.
My work is grounded in relational theory and draws from a number of modalities such as: psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, attachment theory, and IFS. Emotion and body focused practices undergird my work to increase present moment awareness. I attend to clients in the context of the systems they were raised in and work to hold an anti oppressive and anti coercive lens as a therapist.
It is my goal that our work together will help you to better understand yourself and your relationships. Together we can explore how your past informs your present and feel compassion for where you are now. I offer empathic listening balanced with authentic feedback to support clients in regaining connection with their best self.
